“Small dogs have big hearts”
So say the owners of Small Paws Doggie Daycare and Grooming Burnaby (Metro Vancouver). We are a family-run operation with the goal of providing little dogs a safe indoor place to run and play with other dogs their size.
Why did we open a daycare specifically for small dogs? Owners Nigel and Katya
recognized a need in the Metro Vancouver area when looking for a place for their
five-pound chihuahua puppy, Mika, to socialize with other pups. Our little
dog was simply too nervous and intimidated to go to other daycares that had all
sizes of dogs and wasn’t getting the socialization she desperately needed.
Now, at Small Paws, Mika has lots of friends!
Our fantastic staff are qualified in DOGSAFE Canine First Aid. Small dogs are
our passion, so you know your littl’un will be in safe hands when he/she walks
through our front doors.
The spacious environment is decorated in fun, bright colours, with a viewing
area to see the dogs play and big windows providing natural light. We have
caves, ramps and tunnels to run through, and music playing throughout the day.
There are two separate rooms, accommodating all sizes and temperaments of dogs,
from one-pound Yorkies to Boston Terriers or Miniature American Eskimos, and
everything in between.
Check out our Dog Blog for some great photos and examples of how we run our
daycare on a daily basis.
