Testimonials

"Small Paws Rocks!!! Betty has been a client since their second day of business and I assure you, there’s no better way to tire out a frenetic, energetic Boston Terrier than to have her spend the day at Small Paws! I work in film and TV and I really don’t know what I would do if it weren’t for Katya and Nigel and their incredibly understanding and flexible way of doing business. I repeat, Small Paws Rocks!"

"Katya & Nigel have made us feel so comfortable leaving our baby Diego in their care from day one. You can tell the minute you meet them that they truly love what they do and he is in great hands... and we LOVE that they email us a photo every day to show us what he's up to. Those little touches make such a difference. We actually like it there so much, that we bring Diego all the way from Downtown Vancouver! That’s got to say something! The only bad thing about bringing our dog to Small Paws is that he doesn't want to come home! He has so much fun when he is there that he cries when we make him leave!"

"Small Paws is an absolute gem. I feel very fortunate that our puppy Wolfgang is in such great hands. Wolfie loves going to see the other dogs and my son Branden has been saving the report cards in his scrap book from the beginning. Katya and Nigel are very warm and caring and I would have no hesitation in referring this daycare to anyone with a small dog."

"We came upon Small Paws after some unsuccessful searches for daycare facilities in the area that would work for our five-pound puppy, who is shy around bigger dogs. She was experiencing separation anxiety and barking when we weren't home, as we were informed by a neighbour. Hana LOVES going to Small Paws and has made many little friends there. It's so nice to know she is cared for by people who truly love dogs, and in a facility where she feels comfortable to run, play, and just have lots of fun as every dog should."

"I always know that our 5-month-old puppy will be well taken care of while I'm away at work: I have total trust in Nigel and Katya and that's saying a lot! Marley loves it there and always comes home happy and exhausted (after her walks and play sessions with her new friends), and she's always ready to go back to Small Paws in the morning (wagging her tail exuberantly when Nigel picks her up)... Katya and Nigel are wonderful!"

"I never thought that I would be worrying about daycare for a dog. When we got our puppy Charlie my one concern was leaving him home during the day. I tried a few dog daycares out, one near my home and another two near my work, but the combination of my uncertainty and Charlie's behaviour (before and after his stay) told me things were not so great for him there. Then one day I came home to a postcard from Small Paws in my mail box. I went and checked them out and immediately liked what I saw – a clean and bright place that catered to smaller dogs. Owners Katya and Nigel won my heart with their friendly, knowledgeable and loving spirits. I thought I would give them a chance. I now look back and thank them for giving Charlie and I a chance. Charlie is in the best care, he is so happy when he has had a day at Small Paws. At first he had separation anxiety. Katya and Nigel were very helpful with that giving him extra cuddles and making him feel loved. Now when dropping him off he is so excited to see Katya and Nigel and to be with his little friends. I drop him off and leave with absolutely no worries. It’s a great feeling. I enjoy receiving the emails with pictures of him playing with all his friends and the report card at the end of each day are the icing on the cake. Charlie is truly blessed to be there."

"I was so happy to hear that a doggie daycare exclusively for small dogs opened up in Burnaby! My dog has never been socialized and ever since he started Small Paws, he's improved so much! The highlight of my day is getting a picture of him playing with his new buddies and reading his report card!"
